4 Days in Marrakech
Enough time to see the city properly, get out of it for a day, and still leave room to simply wander.
Day 1: The Medina & Jemaa el-Fna
Follow Day 1 of our 2-day itinerary — Koutoubia gardens, the souks, Bahia Palace, and Jemaa el-Fna in the evening.
Day 2: Gardens, Gueliz & the Kasbah
Also follows Day 2 of the 2-day plan: Majorelle Garden in the morning, a wander through Gueliz, then El Badi Palace and the Saadian Tombs back in the Kasbah.
Day 3: Day trip
With an extra couple of days, this is where things open up. Pick based on what you want most:
Atlas Mountains & Imlil
Mountain villages, Toubkal views, cooler air.
Agafay Desert
A dramatic sunset, camel rides, back by evening.
See our full day trips comparison if neither of these quite fits — Essaouira and the Ourika Valley are also strong options depending on your pace.
Day 4: Slow morning, unfinished business & a proper send-off
Morning: Revisit anywhere you rushed, or add Le Jardin Secret, the Koutoubia gardens, or the Musée de la Photographie if you haven't yet.
Midday: A hammam session — this is the day to actually take the time for it.
Afternoon: Final souk shopping, applying everything from our bargaining guide.
Evening: One of our rooftop restaurant picks for a last sunset over the Medina.
Have a fifth day? A second day trip (Essaouira pairs particularly well with an earlier mountain day, for contrast) or simply a fully unplanned day in the Medina are both good uses of it.
